RAWALPINDI, Oct 12: The first batch of 43 girl students, who secured top positions in FA/FSc and BA/BSc examinations in the province, arrived at the Punjab House in Murree on Sunday at the invitation of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.

The position holders have been given the status of “state guests” and will be provided with free boarding and lodging facilities, besides visits to Patriata, Nathiagali, Ayubia, Bhurban and other recreational spots in Murree, a press release said. A contingent of Punjab Police presented guard of honour to the position holders while the Police Band played tunes of the national anthem and national songs. —A Reporter
