KARACHI, Oct 12: Three teenaged boys drowned near Port Qasim on Sunday. The Bin Qasim police said the three victims were friends and residents of Federal B Area.

They were identified as Azeem (16), son of Aleem, Bilal (17), son of Ayub, and Mohsin (17), son of Saleem.

The police said two bodies were fished out by local fishermen, while divers were trying to find the third.

Meanwhile, a 52-year-old man was shot and critically wounded by bandits in Surjani Town.

The police said Mohammed Salim, son of Ahmed, a resident of New Karachi, was on his way on a motorcycle when two dacoits waylaid him near Kaneez Fatima Society to relieve him of his cellular phone and the bike.

They said the victim struggled with the bandits, who opened fire at him and fled without taking either his mobile phone or the bike.

The victim was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where sources said he was in a highly precarious condition as he had received a life-threatening injury to his neck.
