PESHAWAR, Oct 9: The Chief Minister NWFP, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, said that flour shortage and the situation created by profiteering would be overcome soon as he had contacted the Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, for supply of wheat and flour to the province.

“With supply of wheat and flour from Punjab situation in our province will gradually improve,” the chief minister told members of the provincial assembly during his weekly meetings with them at his office here on Thursday.

Ameer Haider Khan Hoti also directed the provincial food secretary to ensure utmost vigilance over stocking, smuggling and profiteering besides carrying out coordination with the Punjab government in supply of wheat and flour to the province.

The members of the provincial assembly informed the chief minister about the problems being faced by the people of their respective constituencies and also kept him abreast about the efforts for maintaining law and order in their respective areas.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said that they were fully aware of the problems being faced by the people of the province and the elected coalition government was fulfilling its responsibilities for resolving the problems to some extend.
