HYDERABAD, Oct 9: Test for admission to bachelor of engineering, bachelor of city and regional planning and bachelor of architecture in 16 disciplines at the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology would be held on Oct 26 at Public School Latifabad No3 at 9am, said the university’s director admission on Thursday.

He said that test slips to 7,500 boys and girls who had applied for admission were being issued through registered post and OCS courier services.

If a candidate did not receive admission slip by Oct 22, he or she should contact the director of admission on Oct 23-25 or on telephone 022-2771704 during office hours, he said.

SPSC: The Sindh Public Service Commission announced on Thursday that the commission found 15 candidates fit and suitable for appointment to the posts of deputy director of alternative energy, assistant director of EPA and alternative energy and chemist after conducting their interviews.

It further said that the names of doctors on the list of test result declared by the commission on Oct 8, which were missing due to typological error, were: Dr Dileep Kumar Ahooja (rural) and Dr Bashir Ahmed Memon (rural for the post of Dermatologist (BPS-18).

ADP SCHEMES: The district government is directed to complete all the ADP schemes 2008-09 within the stipulated time for the facilitation of general public.

DCO Ali Ahmed issued the instructions at a meeting of officials concerned at his office on Thursday. The meeting reviewed the progress of development schemes.

The DCO informed the meeting that the District Council had approved 160 development schemes at the cost of Rs496 million. He said the schemes of physical planning and housing, road and education, government offices, health sector, agriculture and the CCB should be completed on priority basis.

He said that there would be no compromise on the quality of work. The meeting was informed that Rs45.555 million had been spent on the ongoing and new schemes and 50 per cent of work was almost completed.
