KOHAT, Oct 7: A tribal lashkar destroyed three training centres and two houses of Taliban in Alikhel area of Orakzai Agency on Tuesday.

The lashkar comprising volunteers from eighteen tribes of the Orakzai Agency is carrying out an operation against militants involved in terrorist activities.

The lashkar works under a 160-member committee of tribal elders who have suggested punishments for the militants and their protectors.

The militants are mostly active in Chappar and Ferozekhel areas of the agency.

Meanwhile, jirga and the Taliban have swapped 16 militants with five security personnel, three policemen and two armymen captured during the Doaba operation in August this year.
