KARACHI, Oct 7: The police have made no headway in one of the biggest heists in the city’s recent history.

A policeman and a bandit were wounded when gunmen robbed Rs15 million from private security guards who were transferring cash from a bank at the Water Pump intersection on Monday.

The Gulberg SP, Alauddin Abbasi, told Dawn that efforts were on to find leads in the case. “However, we haven’t got a clue to the culprits,” he observed.

The SP said that the eyewitnesses were shown pictures of the criminals in the police record but, he added, none of them could identify the culprits.

He said the sketches were being prepared with the help of the eyewitnesses.
