KOHAT, Sept 27: Two security personnel were injured on Friday night when militants attacked a military checkpost in Akhorwal area of Darra Adamkhel.

The security forces arrested two militants from the house of Zafar Alam Afridi in Garh Sar area of Akhorwal on Saturday. They were shifted to the base camp for interrogation. One arrested militant was identified as Imtiaz whereas the name of the other could not be ascertained.

Earlier, the security forces repulsed the attack and used heavy weapons but the militants escaped towards their hideouts in Akakhel area at the border between Darra Adamkhel and Khyber Agency.

The security forces also pounded the hideouts of militants in the mountains of Bostikhel and other areas with artillery. The search operation also continued in Darra Adamkhel of the fourth consecutive day after the military took control of the whole area.
