THATTA: Sit-in on Highway

THATTA, Sept 26: Around 300 to 400 needy persons on Friday staged a sit-in on National Highway to protest the delay in their payments from the Baitul Maal.

The sit-in affected the flow of vehicular traffic, which remained suspended for almost two hours.

The protesters; however, dispersed peacefully when the relevant officials of the Baitul Maal assured them of early payments.
