KARACHI, Sept 22: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) has assured of extending all support to Pakistan Tanners Association in upgrading of National Institute of Leather Technology (NILT) for skill development and improvement of the leather industry.

A press release of TDAP quotes its Chief Executive Syed Mohibullah Shah of stressing the need of equipping national institutions like NILT with latest and modern machinery for further value-addition in export products. The TDAP Chief Executive held a meeting with a PTA delegation led by its Chairman S.M. Nasim.

Leather goods export in 2007-08 showed an impressive 30 per cent growth over last year’s performance.
