ISLAMABAD, Sept 11: The 60th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, was observed with reverence and solemnity across the country on Thursday.

The day dawned with special prayers in mosques followed by Quran Khawani.

Seminars and symposiums were held where speakers highlighted different aspects of the life of the great leader.

President Asif Ali Zardari visited the mausoleum of the Quaid-i-Azam, laid floral wreath and offered Fateha. Writing his impressions in the visitors’ book, the president prayed: “May God give us strength to save Pakistan.”
