KARACHI, Sept 9: Activists of the Pakistan People’s Party celebrated the swearing-in of Asif Ali Zardari as president of the country on Tuesday.

A large number of PPP workers led by Bilawal House spokesman Aijaz Durrani gathered on the Napier Road where they danced and raised victory slogans.

Local leaders of the party Arshad Naqvi, Taimore Sial, Ghulam Mohammad Yousuf Qureshi, Suleman Selia, Yousaf Naz, Shaukat Gilgati, Aslam Samoo, Javed Baloch, Razzaq Siddique, Rashid Noorani, Hanif and Fateh Bhai were present.

Sweets were also distributed in many areas of the city.—PPI
