KARACHI: Govt jobs

Published August 24, 2008

KARACHI, Aug 23: Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has asked all those who have emerged successful in the IBA-conducted tests for government jobs to prepare themselves for employment.

In a statement issued on Saturday, he said that the World Bank had stopped employment of those who had obtained 40 per cent marks in the tests because the bank had fixed 60 per cent marks for eligibility to a government job. He said the WB had provided $100 million aid for the purpose but the previous government had violated its terms.—PPI
