KHAIRPUR, May 6: Acute water shortage in two Talukas of Kot Diji and Nara has destroyed the rural economy of district Khairpur.
Due to shortage of water in Ali Bahar Wah, Mohabbat Wah, Dukar Shakh, Sanharo Wah, Mehar Wah, crops of cotton and sugarcane have been badly affected.
ACCIDENT: A truck driver was injured here on Sunday while saving a passerby. His truck collided with a Datsun pick-up of Naib Nazim of Mehrabpur Haji Risaluddin and overturned on the National Highway near Rasoolabad bus stand.
CLASH: Two groups clashed here the other day when a survey of a disputed plot was being carried out in Razidero.
Some eight people of the both sides were injured.
