SUKKUR, Aug 14: People’s Party activists took out a rally and staged a demonstration against President Pervez Musharraf outside Sukkur Press Club here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion their leaders said that PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari had taken a bold step by initiating a drive that would lead to the impeachment of President Musharraf.

They said three provincial assemblies — the Punjab, the NWFP and the Sindh — had given their verdict against President Musharraf, and the Balochistan Assembly would also follow suit.

They said that the country was facing multiple crises due to his wrong policies and said that the country would become prosperous after his departure.

They said that after getting rid of Musharraf the country would enter a new era of development and prosperity.
