SUKKUR, Aug 11: Two brothers were gunned down and three other people were injured in an armed clash between the members of Jatoi and Kharos community over a piece of land in Mirzapur village on Monday.

Armed men from Jatoi and Kharos community were at daggers drawn over a piece of land.

On Monday both of them clashed and used lethal weapons as a result of which Gul Bahar Kharos and Sharif Kharos, both brothers, died on the spot and Ms Mumtaz, Ms Farida and Sayat Ali Kharos were injured.

They were taken to the Civil Hospital Sukkur. No cases were registered till the filing of this report.

In another incident, a man was killed by thieves in Bachal Shah Miani near here on Sunday night. A group of armed thieves broke into a house but the inmates woke up and resisted them on which the thieves opened fire, injuring Behram Khan son of Suhbat Kharos and fled. The injured was rushed to the Civil Hospital Sukkur, where he succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile a man, Abid Mirani, who was killed by the armed persons over a land dispute in Bachal Shah Miani on Sunday night, was buried in a local graveyard on Monday.
