LARKANA, Aug 11: Corruption charges have been levelled against taluka nazim by the Larkana district body of Pakistan People’s Party and PPP-backed Awam Dost Panel members of Council. They said that he would be removed in a week.

Speaking at a press conference here on Monday, the acting president of Larkana district PPP Khair Mohammed Shaikh, Naudero Nazim Nisar Ahmed Bhutto, and others said that cases against Larkana Taluka Nazim Qurban Abbasi were already pending with the Anti-Corruption Establishment for allegedly disposing of plots in Sachal Colony at throw- away prices in violation of the Sindh Local Government Ordinance.

The girl alleged that she was detained in a house in Sehwan where Saleem Chandio and his two friends abused and tortured her. She told police that she escaped from the house and reached Larkana.

The ASP Larkana city Nasir Qureshi told this scribe that SHO women police station picked the girl on a tip-off adding and that torture signs were visible on her body. The medical report would come on Tuesday, the ASP said.
