NAWABSHAH, Aug 8: Activists of Pasban Tehrik took out a procession and staged a demonstration outside the press club here on Friday.

They were demanding immediate release of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and her family. The rally started from the Pasban office and ended at the press club.

The protesters were carrying banners, placards and were cha-nting slogans against President Musharraf and the former government.

Addressing the protesters, local leaders said that the FBI along with the Karachi police had kidnapped Dr Aafia Siddiqui and her three children and detained her at Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan.

In Thatta, activists of the Pasban took out a procession demanding release of Dr Aafia. Local Pasban leaders led the rally.

The participants marched on main roads of the town and dispersed peacefully after reaching outside the press club.
