Sand volleyball event postponed

ISLAMABAD, Aug 7: The second National Sand Volleyball Championship, to be held in Islamabad on Aug 12, has been postponed by the Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF).

A PVF official told Dawn on Thursday that the Sand Volleyball Championship had to be postponed due to the forthcoming 14th Asian Junior Championship scheduled to be staged from Aug 21 to 31 in Iran.

The three-day event featuring more than 25 teams including Army, Air Force, Wapda, Navy, Railways, Punjab, Police, Sindh, AJK, PEB, Fata, FC, NWFP, Islamabad, POF, Balochistan and HEC, has now been moved ahead to Sept 16-18.
