KOHAT, Aug 6: Police on Wednesday recovered a Russian-born lady doctor in a raid on a house in the Garhi Atta Khan area.

The lady doctor, Zania, wife of Dr Ghazanfar Abbas, had gone missing from her house in Khanewal after exchanging hot words with her husband.

She called her husband on Wednesday and told him about her whereabouts. The Kohat police raided the house and recovered the doctor.

Police arrested house owner Ali Raza, but more details of the case were not disclosed by the family and police.

BODY FOUND: Militants on Wednesday killed a government employee they had taken hostage along with other 29 people during the Hangu military operation.

The Hangu police said the headless body of Sarfraz Hussain of the Kurram Agency was found near Chuchakano Kalay in the Shahu Khel area of the Hangu district. A letter found with the body read that those who had killed people in Parachinar would meet the same fate.

MPA Mufti Janan told a jirga on Wednesday that they would meet Chief Minister Amir Haider Khan Hoti in a few days. He claimed that everything had been decided regarding the release of hostages and an agreement with militants would be signed soon.—Correspondent
