KARACHI: KU offers scholarships

KARACHI, Aug 4: The University of Karachi has invited applications for merit-cum-need scholarships 2008.

A spokesman for the institution said on Monday that the scholarships were being offered to the students of BS Honours/ Masters/ Pharmacy who fulfilled the prescribed criteria.

The applicants should have cleared all courses and first semester of 2008 with overall 60 per cent marks. The form should be submitted to the chairpersons of the departments by Aug 30.

Meanwhile, the university has extended the date for the submission of enrolment forms and fee for BA, BSc and BCom academic session 2007-08. The candidates may submit their enrolment forms with a late fee of Rs650 till Aug 25, 2008.—Agencies
