GUJAR KHAN, July 30: The local police have booked 12 persons for resorting to intensive firing in the air at a marriage party in Gujar Khan city damaging transmission line and a transformer of Iesco on Monday night.

The firing created panic among the residents of the area as the volley of bullets fired by a band of jubilant youth snapped the electricity supply lines and damaged the transformer plunging the whole area into darkness for a considerable time.

Pervez Akhtar, Mohsan Ali, Sohail Akbar, Waheed Qaisar, Aqeel Ahmed, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Shazad, Nasir Hussain, Zulfiqar Ali, Jawaid Iqbal, Aamir Shehzad and Muhammad Imran were rounded up. The police also recovered fire arms and registered the case under section 440 PPC, 337- h-2 and 13-20-65. — Correspondent
