Published July 27, 2008

KHAIRPUR, July 26: Three katcha houses were gutted when an 11kilo volts high tension electricity wire fell on a shanty house area near Lohi Railway Pul on Saturday.

Reports said that one of the three high tension lines that passed over a katchi abadi snapped and fell on the mud-thatched houses, reducing three houses of Abdullah, Ali Hassan and Anwar to ashes. However, no damage to life was reported. Hesco officials denied the reports of wire fall.—BoC
