ISLAMABAD, July 16: The acting director-general of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) Dr Adam Nayyar who is suffering from cancer of the lymph nodes, is in serious condition.

His condition deteriorated after he suffered multiple strokes, said a press release here Wednesday.

Dr Nayyar was admitted to Shifa International Hospital on June 22 after the diagnose of the disease.

The French government bestowed upon Dr Nayyar ‘Knighthood of Arts and Letters’ award for his contribution to the cultural life of the world.
