KARACHI, July 9: Police on Wednesday released the sketch of a suspected terrorist who had abandoned a bomb-fitted car in Pak Colony. Pak Colony was one of several locations struck by Monday’s serial bombings

A source privy to the investigation told Dawn that the sketch was prepared with the help of those who saw the suspect abandoning the car.

He said that one of the witnesses also spoke to the alleged terrorist asking him not to park the car there. “The terrorist was seen leaving the spot on a motorcycle with his accomplice, who was wearing a helmet,” he added.

City police chief Waseem Ahmed told Dawn that the investigation team was still working on a lead. “There is no major breakthrough in the matter so far,” he added.

Meanwhile, the special investigation team probing the series of Monday’s blasts visited the sites of the explosions and collected data from there.
