Abducted girl found unconscious

SHEIKHUPURA, July 8: An 18-year-old girl (N), who was allegedly abducted two days ago from Baghrial, was found lying unconscious outside of her house on Tuesday.

Dawn learnt that a youth and his accomplices allegedly abducted the girl and took her to a nearby dera and raped her. They fled after throwing the victim outside her house. The elders of the village condemned the incident and demanded the Factory Area police arrest the accused.

ESCAPED: An under-trial accused escaped from police custody from Ferozewala court. Aftab being tried for heinous crimes was brought before the additional district and sessions court judge. From there, he fled taking advantage of lax policemen. Ferozewala police registered a case against Sub-Inspector Nawaz and constables Shaukat, Salim and Siddique.

RUN OVER: An unidentified pedestrian was run over by a bus near Kot Abdul Malik on Lahore Road. Factory area police started investigation against the bus driver.
