LARKANA, July 2: The Sindh High Court Larkana Circuit has summoned the SHO Naudero to appear in the court on July 14, along with the report of support he lent to the SHO Clifton in connection with the case of a couple. Hearing the petition of harassment filed by the couple Babar Zaman Pathan and Ambreen Pathan on Wednesday, Mr Justice Ali Saindino Metlo ordered the SHO to escort the couple safely to their Naudero house. The couple married of their own will March 20, 2008 said advocate Abdul Rehman Bhutto.

Sardar Bahadur, father of Ambreen got registered an FIR of kidnapping for marriage against Babar Zaman with Clifton police. Police inspector Shabir Ahmed Junejo of Clifton police seeking assistance from the SHO Naudero and other policemen arrested Babar’s father. In the meantime the couple filed a petition in the Sindh High Court Larkana Circuit where the SHO Naudero and the representative of DPO had in writing said they would not harass the couple, and the father was freed.

Naudero and Clifton police in contravention of the orders of the court began harassing the couple who had filed another petition in the court that came up for hearing on Wednesday. The couple, parents of Ambreen, the SHO Naudero and the DSP prosecution appeared in court on Wednesday where, after recording the statements of the couple, the court asked the SHO to bring the couple in police squad to Naudero safely and appear along with the report of the kind of support he lent to the SHO Clifton on July 14. The couple should also be provided protection the court said. remand refused: Judicial Magistrate-III Larkana on Wednesday refused remanding a boy in police custody and referred him to Chandka Medical College Hospital for medical check up to ascertain his age.

Waleed police station (investigation wing) produced hand-cuffed Shahid Lashari, resident of Faisal Colony, in court to seek his remand in a theft case of Muhammed Yusif.

The judge declined to grant remand to police and wrote to Medical Superintendent for examination of the boy to ascertain his age. The boy told the journalists that the CIA police Larkana arrested and then severely tortured him at the centre to confess theft. He said he was innocent and drives a rickshaw.
