SANGHAR, June 28: A mother and son died when Punjab-bound Buraq express train hit them near Sarhari on Saturday.

The woman, Jamzadi, 30, along with her eight-year-old son, Lakhmir, was grazing her goats near the main railway tracks when they were hit by the train. Both died on the spot.

Two goats were also crushed by the train.

The railway and Sarhari police are investigating the case.

RAPE: Relatives of a fourteen-year-old girl staged a protest in Shahdadpur on Saturday.

They claimed that the girl was raped by a man, Zaheer Bagrani. They claimed that the police were not taking any action against the culprit despite being informed. They demanded arrest of the culprit.
