KARACHI: Husband kills wife

KARACHI, May 3: A housewife was killed by her husband in Saeedabad on Friday.

Police said that Saeeda Shakoor, aged 26, was repeatedly stabbed by her husband Shakoor Ahmed in their house in Gulshan-i- Ghazi, Saeedabad. According to initial reports, Shakoor Ahmed had lost his temper over a petty issue. He escaped after stabbing his wife.

The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital where she was admitted for treatment She died during treatment.

Police was making raids to arrest the absconding suspect.

ACCIDENT: Mohammad Ibrahim, aged 8, was knocked down by a speeding water tanker (AE-0104) near Mohammadi Colony in the limits of TPX. The victim was rushed to the Civil Hospital. However, he died on way to the hospital. Police claimed to have arrested the errant driver.

In another traffic accident an unknown person died in Shah Latif town. Police said the victim was knocked down by an unknown vehicle.

ROBBERIES: Bandits struck at three places in the city.

A vegetable dealer, Haleem, was looted of cash by two armed men in New Town. Haris was robbed of cash in a similar way in Gulzar-i- Hijri. Another, man Javed, was looted of cash in the Korangi Industrial Area.
