KARACHI, June 22: Acting Governor Nisar Ahmed Khuhro unveiled a memorial plaque at the birthplace of Benazir Bhutto on Saturday night. Ms Bhutto was born in Dr Pinto’s Nursing Home, Doli Khata, Soldier Bazaar.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Khuhro said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would make every effort for the uplift of Ms Bhutto’s birthplace, and announced that a ceremony would be organized every year on her birth anniversary at the nursing home.

Provincial ministers Ms Shazia Marri and Rafique Engineer, and Adviser to the Chief Minister Rashid Rabbani were among other PPP leaders present.—APP
