SUKKUR, June 20: Girls students outclassed boys in the of SSC-II annual examination science group result, announced here on Friday by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Sukkur.

According to the announcement, 37,224 students from Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Kandhkot-Kashmore and Naushahro Feroze districts appeared in the examination. Of them, 599 students were placed in A-1 grade, while 6,439 secured A grade, 11,907 were placed in grade B, 9007 in grade C, 1,356 in grade D and only one student was placed in grade E.

Total number of passed students remained 29,309 and 7,549 were declared fail. Result of 169 candidates was stopped for use of unfair means, 54 for want of query and 143 for incomplete documents.

According to the gazette notification, total pass percentage stood at 78.74, out of which pass percentage of male candidates remained 76.41 per cent and female candidates was 83.99 per cent.

According to the notification, girls fetched first two positions in order of merit, which included, Areesha Shahzado daughter of Shahzado Dayo seat No: 94687 of Model School Shah Latif University, Khairpur, secured first position and got 749 marks and placed in A-1 grade, Maryam D/O Jaffar Ali Arain of Wapda Public School, Guddu Kashmore, with seat No: 102167 was placed in second position, she got A-1 grade with 741 marks and Ashfaq Ahmed S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Mojai of Mazhar Muslim Model Higher Secondary School, Ranipur district Khairpur, having seat No: 89033 got third position and was placed in A-1 grade with 735 marks.

According to notification, in order of merit regarding male candidates, Ashfaq Ahmed S/O Mushtaq Ahmed Mojai of Mazhar Muslim Model Higher Secondary School, Ranipur district Khairpur, seat No: 89033 got first position among the boys and secured A-1 grade and 735 marks, while Halar Habibullah S/O Hafeezullah Dahar of Public School, Sukkur eat No: 125024 got second position and placed under A-1 grade with 734 marks and Mohammad Ashraf S/O Nizamuddin Shaikh of Mehran Model School, Pano Akil seat No: 131156 got third position and placed under A-1 grade with 733 marks.

In order of merit of girl candidates, Areesha Shahzado D/O Shahzado Dayo of Model School Shah Latif University, Khairpur, seat No: 94687 clinched first position with 749 marks and placed in A-1 grade, while Maryam D/O Jaffar Ali Arain of Wapda Public School Guddu, Kashmore, seat No: 102167 was placed in second position with 741 marks and grade A-1 and Paras Khursheed D/O Khursheed Ahmed Shaikh of Iqra Public Higher School, Gambat district Khairpur, seat No: 84253 got third position with 731 marks and placed in A-1 grade.
