Published June 17, 2008

KARACHI, June 16: An unidentified man, suspected to be a gangster, was shot at and wounded in the ongoing gang warfare in Lyari, police said.

The SHO of Baghdadi police station told Dawn that a police team reached the spot where rival gangsters exchanged heavy fire.

“One of the gangsters was injured and brought to the Civil Hospital, but his accomplices took him away before the police reached there,” he added.

Area people, however, said at least three people were killed during a clash between the Ghaffar Zikri and Rahman Dakait gangs at Eido Lane. —Staff Reporter
