KARACHI, June 15: The Sindh government would bear the expenditure of converting two-stroke rickshaws into CNG-operated four-stroke vehicles while diesel-operated buses would be converted into CNG buses in a phase-wise operation.

Provincial Transport Minister Akhtar Hussain Jadoon said this on Sunday while talking to a group of journalists after his meeting with Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House.

The minister said that the PPP chief had also approved the suggestion to change the name of Machchar Colony to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Colony.

The minister said that the residents of the colony and Mohammadi Colony would also be provided gas and water supply soon.

Besides, he said, leases would also be issued to them soon.
