Shahbaz steers Punjab ahead

LAHORE, June 8: Shahbaz Khan with six gold medals put Punjab in front on the second day of the Inter-provincial Under-17 swimming championship at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad, on Sunday.

According to information received here, Punjab has won seven out of the eight swimming competitions.

Shahbaz had claimed two gold medals on the first day and enlightened the pool on the second day when he claimed four more out of the five decided.

Moid Mustafa earned another gold medal for Punjab.

The only gold medal claimed by the NWFP came through Hamid Raheem.—Sports Reporter
