KHAIRPUR, May 1: Some 400 maunds of wheat and a lemon orchard were reduced to ashes after being set on fire in Rahmatullah Chang village near Faiz Ganj on Tuesday night.

There were about 150 lemon trees in the orchard which were completely brunt.

The wheat belonged to Qutub Chang who has informed police.

In another incident, some unidentified armed men set some 500 maunds of wheat on fire in Hajan Shah near Wada Machhyoon, taluka Kingri, on Tuesday night.

ROBBERY: Nine armed robbers blocked road at Ali Bahar Wah and robbed Jameel Halano and Ghulam Abbasi Cheema of a motorcycle on Tuesday night.

The robbers injured Ghulam Abbas when he offered resistance to the attempt of robbery.

KIDNAPPED: Three people, including a man and his son, were kidnapped from the Wada Machhyoon village, Kingri taluka, the other day.

Later one of the victims was released by the kidnappers and another managed to escape.

Some eight armed men kidnapped Rab Nawaz Bhatti, his son, Raja Bhatti, and Gulzar Bhatti, when they were watering their fields.

Later, the armed men released Rab Nawaz.
