KARACHI, May 1: At least 23 vehicles — 10 cars and 13 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Wednesday.

Eight cars were hijacked and two were stolen and five motorcycles were hijacked and eight were stolen in various parts of the city.

SHOT DEAD: A middle aged woman died of gunshot wounds in her home in Keamari on Wednesday.

Niaz Parwar, 45, was offering prayers in her home in Sikandarabad, Keamari, when pistol belonging to her husband accidentally went off by her son Nasir, 16. Nasir escaped from the house after the incident.

Police said they had been making raids to arrest the absconding suspect.
