KALAT, May 25: Three committees were formed on Sunday for ending tribal feuds in Balochistan.

The committees were set up at a meeting presided over by former federal minister Prince Muhiuddin Baloch.

The meeting decided that the committees would be headed by former federal minister Prince Essa Jan, Prince Musa Jan and former provincial minister Prince Yahya Khan, who would meet BNP-M chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal, provincial S&GAD minister Sardar Sanaullah Zehri and leaders of the Sanari tribe in a few days.

The committees will submit their recommendations in a week.

The meeting also decided that initially the committees would resolve the tribal dispute between Sanari and Mengal tribes in Kalat.

After the meeting, Muhiuddin Baloch told reporters here that tribal disputes impeded progress in the province.

He urged all tribal leaders and people to support each other for the development and prosperity of the province.

Expressing the hope that the committees would resolve tribal disputes in Kalat and also work to end tribal feuds in other parts of the province.

Prince Zakki Khan, Lal Khan, Arbab Mohammad Ali Dehwar, ex-senator Hussain Bakhsh Bangulzai, Maulana Syed Mehmood Shah, Aziz Mughal, tribal notables of various tribes and Ulema also attended the meeting.—APP
