MARDAN: Two killed in attacks

MARDAN, May 22: Two persons were allegedly killed and three, including a woman, were injured in two attacks here on Thursday.

According to the police, in the first incident, miscreants allegedly hurled a hand grenade on a house at Babani village, killing one of the inmates, identified as Sherdad Khan, and seriously injuring his wife and two sons. Three cattle heads worth over Rs100,000 were also reportedly killed in the grenade attack.

The Choora police have registered an FIR against the attackers and arrested one of them identified as Khaista.

In the second incident, a local of Baghdada village identified as Guftar Ali and his sons allegedly opened fire on Asad Bacha of the same village, killing him on the spot. The accused made good their escape. Saddar police have lodged an FIR against the culprits.
