KARACHI, May 15: People on Thursday caught and beat up bandits, this time in Korangi.

Police said people were standing at the Korangi 2-½ bus stop when three suspected bandits on a motorcycle pulled up and held the people at gunpoint.

The suspects snatched valuables from them and rode away. A few people, however, chased the suspects, caught one of them and beat him up severely.

In the meantime police also arrived at the scene and arrested another fleeing suspect. Landhi SP Pervez Umrani said police seized two pistols and a motorcycle from them. However, the third suspect managed to escape.
