KARACHI: Youth run over by truck

KARACHI, April 25: A 17-year-old boy died in a road accident in Mauripur on Thursday.

The police said that Dawood was run over by a speeding truck (JA-5040) while walking across the main Mauripur Road near Wazir Mansion railway station. He was rushed to Civil Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. After post-mortem, the body was handed over to the victim’s relations.

The police claimed to have arrested the truck driver and impounded the truck.

ARRESTED: The police arrested a wanted suspect involved in the killing of two doctors and several other cases of terrorism.

A spokesman for the SSP Investigation, Manzoor Ahmed Mughal, said that following a week-long surveillance in Orangi Town, police arrested Rao Noor Mohammed alias Khursheed, aged 25, on Thursday and recovered a pistol from his possession.

The spokesman said that the arrested suspect and his accomplice Roshan Raza were wanted in the murder cases of Dr Aijaz Ali Shah in Orangi Town and Dr Kausar Zaidi in Khwaja Ajmair Nagri police limits.
