KARACHI, April 20: The Pakistan Hindu Council has welcomed Sindh Minister for Culture Sassui Palejo’s announcement that the Hindu Gymkhana will be handed over to the Hindu community.

PHC chief Assarmal Manglani in a statement issued here on Sunday expressed gratitude on behalf of the minority community over the move, and hoped that the National Academy of Performing Arts (Napa) would soon be shifted to some other place to restore the Seth Ramgopal Goverdhandas Mohatta Hindu Gymkhana to the community as promised by the minister.

He observed that the new government was taking such steps to establish a truly democratic culture in the country where all religious communities could live in harmony and enjoy equal rights.
