KARACHI, April 13: The Board of Secondary Education, Karachi, has finalised all arrangements to conduct the Secondary School Certificate Part I and II (Class IX and X) annual examinations-2008 of Science and General groups for both regular and private candidates from April 15.

In all, 400 examination centers have been set up at both government and private schools for holding the exams in two shifts. The exams for students of Class X will be conducted from 9am to 12noon, while Class IX candidates will appear in exams from 2pm to 5pm.

According to BSE officials, a total of 300,000 candidates have been registered this year for the SSC examinations.

A number of private candidates appearing in the exams rang up Dawn to complain that they had not yet received their admit cards.

When an official of the BSE was apprised about these complaints, he said if any candidate had not yet received his admit card he must get the duplicate card from the board office during working hours on Monday.
