Published April 23, 2002

DADU, April 22: About twenty councillors staged here on Sunday a protest rally on rickshaws from the office of the Nazim union council-4, Dadu, to the DCO office where they staged a demonstration.

Led by Mohammad Hashim Qambrani, Mumtaz Soomro and others, the councillors were protesting against the lack of proper facilities at the Dadu Civil Hospital, power load-shedding and other problems faced by the residents of their areas.

Later Dadu District Nazim Malik Asad Sikandar met the delegation of the councillors and assured them that he would pay surprise visits at the hospital and if any official was found involved in corrupt practices, action would be taken against him.
