KARACHI, April 1: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) is constructing three car parking towers in Stadium (Delton) Commercial and Zamzama Commercial areas to overcome traffic congestion and other parking-related problems in the commercial areas of the DHA. The construction work on these projects has already been started, says a DHA press release.

The car parking towers are being built in Stadium Commercial on both sides of the stadium. The stadium car parking towers spread over 18,435 square metres comprised ground plus three floors and will have a capacity to accommodate 324 cars and 288 motorcycles at a time. The project is scheduled to be completed by Sept 2009.

The Zamzama Car Parking Plaza is spread over 5,769 square metres and comprises a basement and two floors with a capacity to accommodate 407 cars and 190 motorcycles. The project is scheduled to be completed in 18 months.—PPI
