ISLAMABAD, March 31: Four foreign and eight Pakistani players will be participating in the 6th Chief of Army Staff (CAS) International Squash Championship-2008 scheduled to be played from April 2-5 at the Mushaf Squash Complex Islamabad.

Speaking at a press conference Lt Gen (r) Zarrar Azim President Punjab Squash Association (PSA) said that the tournament carries a prize money of US $25,000.

PSA is the official organizer of the CAS International Squash Championship-2008.

He said that the tournament will help the players to gain match experience and also to improve their international squash ranking.

Ong Beng Hee World No.17 from Malaysia, Jonathan Kemp (26) from England, Suarav Gohsal (51) from India and Robbie Tempel (101) from England are the four foreign players participating in the event.

Muhammad Shohaib Hassan was given the wild card entry to the championship because of his excellent performance in the junior tournaments for the last many months. He is currently ranked at No.209 in the world.

Ong Beng Hee and Jonathan Kemp are the two top seed players for the championship. As many as 16 players will compete against each other in the main round.
