LAHORE, March 10: The People’s Lawyer Forum (PLF) has welcomed the Murree Declaration and expressed the resolve to make every effort to achieve its objectives.

In a joint statement, PLF President Muhammad Hanif Tahir, SVP Khuram Latif Khosa and VP Iftikhar Shahid congratulated the PPP and PML-N on the declaration and assured Asif Ali Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif of their full support in this regard.

They said that democratic forces had shown political sagacity and set aside their personal interests to follow the Charter of Democracy.

They urged the lawyers community to shun the politics of agitation and stand firm with the parliament to strengthen the democratic institutions in the country.—APP
