LONDON, March 8: A head-on collision between two cars in western England killed six people and seriously injured three more, including two children, police said on Saturday.

Five people died at the scene of the crash, on a road between Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold, about 135 kilometres northwest of London on Friday night, Gloucestershire Constabulary said. A sixth person later died in hospital.

Police said the children were being treated at Frenchay Hospital in the southwestern city of Bristol. The hospital declined to give an update on their conditions on Saturday, saying the victims’ families had not given their consent to release the information.—AP
