HYDERABAD, March 5: Written test and interview for the recruitment of scientific officers at the Institute of Physics, University of Sindh, were held on Tuesday.

A four-member team of the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) conducted test and interview of 150 male and female Physics and Chemistry candidates.

The PNRA Director General Dr Shahid Malik briefed them about working and function of the organisation. The PNRA, he said was providing excellent job opportunities to graduates, especially Physics and Chemistry and offering good salary package and facilities.

He said Physics and Chemistry graduates hold bright future in the PNRA adding: “Our teams are visiting Pakistani universities to conduct test and interview of potential graduates.”

Vice Chancellor Sindh University, Mazharul Haq Siddiqui said it was an opportunity which university graduates should avail and wished them success to serve the country with skill and ability.

Director, Institute of Physics, Prof Dr M. Siddique Kalhoro highlighted achievements of his institute and discussed the ongoing academic and research activities.

The four-member team which conducted test introduced their organization and held preliminary interviews. They also distributed Performa among candidates to fill personal data.

MUET: The Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, here on Wednesday announced that special supplementary examinations (theory/practical) from First to Eighth terms of BE/BCRP and First to Tenth term of Bachelor of Architecture for failed students of 1998 and 1999 batches as a last chance will be held from March 13, at MUET Jamshoro from 2-5pm.

Last date for submission of examination forms with late fee had been fixed as March 10. All eligible candidates of BE, CRP appearing in the said examinations had been asked to submit an affidavit on stamp paper worth Rs10 duly attested by first class magistrate with examination forms stating that they will not apply for registration to the Pakistan Engineering Council/Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners etc.
