KARACHI, April 14: Twenty vehicles — eight cars and 12 motorcycles — were either hijacked or stolen in the city on Sunday, police said.

Four cars were hijacked and four others stolen in Saddar, Jamshed, Gulshan-i-Iqbal and Liaquatabad Towns.

Five motorcycles were hijacked and seven others stolen in various Towns.

Police also claimed on Sunday to have recovered a motorcycle (KCI-6304) in Mubina town.

SUICIDE: A young woman committed suicide by throwing herself in front of the engine of Balochistan Express near Drigh Road railway station.

The body was sent to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem.

After postmortem, the body has been kept in the Edhi’s morgue for identification.

DIES OF BURNS: A young girl died of burns in Civil Hospital.

Police said Roza Bibi, aged 18, had been admitted to Civil Hospital with burns on April 5. She suffered burns while cooking in her home in Ibrahim Hyderi.

KILLED: A schoolteacher was killed in Gadap area.

Police said Mohammed Yusuf, aged 32, was hit by a blunt weapon and his throat also slit in Gul Hasan Jokhio goth.
