KARACHI, Feb 26: The Sindh Bar Council has urged the newly-elected legislators to take measures for the reinstatement of the deposed superior courts’ judges and provide economic relief to the common man.

An SBC resolution moved by Advocates Aqil Lodhi and Mohammad Ali Abbasi and adopted by the council on Tuesday said that the problems being faced by the people because of the ever-increasing prices of essential commodities, unemployment and load-shedding brooked no delay in their solution. While long-term measures required time, some steps should be taken to extend early relief.

It called for a United Nations’ probe into the assassination of the PPP chairperson, Benazir Bhutto. — Staff Reporter
