LARKANA, Feb 15: An understanding with President Musharraf, Nawaz Sharif, or the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is tantamount to compromising on the construction of Kalabagh Dam, dishing out Sindh’s resources, jobs and trade to Centre, said the Chairman of the Sindh National Front (SNF) Mumtaz Ali Bhutto on Friday.

Addressing corner meetings in Naudero and Aghani on Friday he said Asif Zardari, PPP Co-chairman PPP had announced of striking deal with them. He said ‘jackal’ will not be a lion merely by wearing his skin and added the PPP leaders only concentrate on filling their bellies at the cost of Sindh’s suffering if ever returned to power.

Calling the PPP Zardari’s Party he said instead of unfolding the contents of party manifestos he was banking on what he called ‘Bhuttos’ dead bodies and warned people to be conscious of such tricks. He said in past also the PPP compromised with killers of Z.A. Bhutto and later indulged in corruption.

He said people elected on PPP’s ticket by exploiting the factor ‘democracy is the best revenge’ would forget about Ms Bhutto’s assassination after sitting in the Parliament. He said it was nothing but to deceive people.

He criticised Zardari for changing stance and added once he talked of sitting in Punjab to save Pakistan but later flew clandestinely to the US. He was in the US under the excuse of heart ailment to avoid court proceeding in Mir Murtaza Bhutto and was normal after striking deal with President Musharraf.

He appealed to people to support the sons of soil and be conscious of turncoats, extortionists and plunderers. Amir Bakhsh Bhutto contesting from PS-37 and other leaders of SNF also addressed the meetings.
